Leah Brennan

Welcome, I am Leah Brennan

Welcome to my practice. I am glad you are here, exploring what therapy might mean for you. I orient my work as a therapist from a strength-based perspective. This means that despite the fact that we may be talking about issues that impact you in a negative way, we will reinforce your strengths and the power you have to affect the changes you would like to make during the course of our work together.

I believe we are all part of a larger system: we are members of a family, a community, our culture and our world. In each of these contexts, we are influenced by interaction, assumptions and beliefs. In turn we influence the system as well. We engage. We participate. Part of my job is to help you look at how you participate within all the various dimensions of your life.

Looking at how and why you participate with the important people in your life can be a powerful experience in itself. Talking openly about alternative options for how you engage with your loved ones, co-workers, neighbors and community members can be transforming. I am here to support your exploration, collaborate with you on alternatives and examine what happens if you alter the way you participate in the different dimensions of your life.

Please feel free to browse this site. I will be updating content regularly with resources, articles, links and observations that resonate with me and offer you more insight into how I practice.
